The Dorset Community House has appreciated partnering with Karen Rainbow as a volunteer and community member who has instigated the Red Dirt Café to support people with food and companionship. We are also celebrating the appointment of a Family Engagement Worker in the area as a result of the advocacy of many community members, and in particular the Thriving Kids Early Years Network coordinated by Naomi and Tanya Greenwood of Building Blocks. It is hoped that in this role Ruth Stockton can support families on the ground while building the case for the Child and Family Learning Centre that we know is so desperately needed in Dorset.  We have had a wonderful year of programs for the community and wish everyone a safe and happy end to the year.
